Job Summary:

The Department of Nursing Administration at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time/hourly TH Staff Assistant II, Nurse Staffing. The successful candidate will:
- Receive, document and inform nursing units of absences.
- Upon direction of the Staffing Coordinator/Nursing Supervisor, reassign staff according to changes in patient census and other categories and unit activities.
- Enter accurate changes to Kronos software program within 24-hours.
- Prepare and assist incoming shift with staffing and staffing projects.
- Call various units for staffing to ensure time-of-arrival of staff is documented and logged.
- Obtain supplemental staff as needed (overtime and agency support).
- Ensure assigned units are appropriately staffed according to business need.
