Job Summary:

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Joint Reconstruction Surgeon / Visiting Associate Professor (GFT). The successful candidate will:

• Provide specialized patient care in the treatment of hip and knee as well as general orthopaedic surgery, to include surgical interventions, non-surgical interventions, diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions related to joint reconstruction.
• Participate in mentoring/doctoring activities and problem-based learning sessions with the medical school.
• Teach medical students, nurses, physician assistants, and residents, including supporting, providing, and attending lectures and conferences.
• Demonstrate responsibility for conducting research in area of expertise. 

Required Qualifications:

• Medical Doctor Degree.
• New York State Medical Doctor Licensure.
• Fellowship training or equivalent experience in orthopaedic surgery joint reconstruction sub-specialty.
